Last Friday we held a farewell party for Ma Li, who was a visiting scholar from China. At the Cardiovascular Research Laboratory (CVRL), she led a project linking diastolic function with rho-kinase (ROCK). During her time at CVRL, Ma Li conducted her research with enthusiasm, inquisitiveness, and an openness to new ideas. Regarding her time at the laboratory, she mentions: “The experiences will be unforgettable throughout my life. It has become a most valuable asset for my career and I will always cherish the memory.”

After a year at our laboratory, she will be missed. We at CVRL look forward to future collaborations, and best of luck back in Wuhan, China.
